It all started in 2017 with the Honda X-ADV, and today they are fully in vogue: offroad scooters. In a world where motorcycles are embracing crossover concepts, scooters are proving they can think outside the box too. Many manufacturers now offer offroad-inspired scooters, which achieve high sales figures, especially in southern countries like Spain and Italy. With the robust-looking 368G, Zontes now wants a piece of the pie as well.

Zontes 368G 2025 - Adventure Scooter with Dashcam Reviewed
Feature-Packed Adventure Scooter Package
With the new Zontes 368G, the Chinese manufacturer aims not only to shake up the European market but also to prove that cutting-edge scooter technology isn't reserved for the big names. Can the adventure scooter hold its own in everyday use?

Compact Comfort: Seating Position & Ergonomics
The visually imposing Zontes 368G surprises with a compact yet comfortable seating position. Notably, the handlebars are relatively high-mounted, while the seat height is a low 795 mm, resulting in an upright riding posture where the arms are slightly elevated. Unfortunately, the driver's seat backrest isn't adjustable, but the spacious footboards offer plenty of room and the option to stretch your legs. The pillion rider also benefits from ample space thanks to the large seat cushion.
The wind protection presents a mixed picture: the legs remain largely unprotected due to the relatively narrow fairing. However, a height-adjustable windshield comes as standard. Once properly set, it provides noticeable relief for the upper body. The adjustment itself is done via two manual knobs, which can only be operated when stationary, making it somewhat cumbersome. A simple one-handed adjustment would be more contemporary here.
Ample Onboard Storage: Zontes 368G Compartments & Storage
A real advantage in everyday use is the large storage compartment under the seat, which, according to the manufacturer, can accommodate two helmets. However, as always, fit may vary depending on the type of helmet (jet, full-face, touring) – a quick test at the dealer is recommended. Additionally, there's a glove box at the front, which cannot be securely locked but is somewhat protected from prying fingers by a relatively hidden opening button – handy for small everyday items.
Cockpit & Connectivity to Impress on the ADV Scooter
Zontes equips the 368G with a large TFT color display offering various layouts to suit individual preferences and information needs. The display is easy to read, modernly designed, and provides a wealth of information at a glance. A tire pressure monitoring system with a temperature display also comes standard.
Additionally, connectivity features like app integration and smartphone connectivity are fundamentally available. However, in our test, the Zontes app did not yet work in the German-speaking market, so we were unable to try these features.
Engine & CVT Impress in the Test
The heart of the scooter is a liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 368 cc, delivering 38.7 hp at 7,500 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. From the get-go, the Zontes impresses with its very direct throttle response—the CVT operates without any noticeable rubber-band effect, making it lively and responsive, especially in heavy city traffic. On the open road, there are still ample power reserves to flow smoothly with traffic. Reaching highway speeds requires a bit of patience, but short stretches are easily manageable.
Less impressive are the noticeable vibrations that run through the scooter during the ride, slightly marring the otherwise harmonious overall picture. The Zontes also offers two riding modes: Eco and Sport. While the Sport mode emphasizes direct throttle response and is the default setting, Eco lowers the rpm during steady cruising to save fuel. Switching between modes is straightforward and can be done on the fly.
Suspension, Brakes & Features
The suspension features an upside-down telescopic fork at the front and a classic swingarm with twin shock absorbers at the rear—both fully adjustable. Braking is handled by disc brakes front and rear, supported by ABS. The handling is solid and unobtrusive, fitting for its comfortable GT orientation. Additional features include LED headlights, backlit controls, and standard heated grips—not a given in this class.

Fully adjustable suspension and decent brakes - a perfect match!
Room for Improvement in Usability
Unfortunately typical for Zontes, the control logic differs somewhat from other manufacturers. Starting is intuitive and easy thanks to the keyless system. However, to turn off the engine, you first need to engage the kill switch or deploy the side stand. Only then can you switch off the vehicle using the main switch. Also somewhat unfortunate: the standard fog lights can be activated and deactivated via the left handlebar block, but there's no indication on the display to show whether they are on. An easy indicator would be desirable, especially for factory-installed accessories.
Highlight: Integrated Dashcams
A true standout feature in this class is the integrated dashcams at the front and rear. They can be activated once and then automatically record every ride. The data, in 1-minute segments, is stored in internal memory and can be played back on the TFT display. Additionally, the clips are supposed to be manageable via the Zontes app, which could be downloaded during our test but not yet successfully connected to the vehicle. As of early April 2025, there are still issues in the German-speaking market, as explained in our inquiry to Zontes. This is an exciting feature that, when fully functional, offers real value—whether in the event of accidents or for everyday city riding.

Experiences with Lenz Heated Gear for Motorcyclists
At the time of the test, daylight saving time was already in effect, and my allergy-prone nose made it clear that spring had arrived. However, morning temperatures were still in the single digits, which became quickly noticeable even on a scooter. I was therefore all the more grateful for the opportunity to test the Lenz heated clothing for motorcyclists. Equipped with a modular battery system, the snug heated vest and Heat Glove 1.0 Finger Cap Moto/Scooter kept me comfortably warm. The premium feel is evident not just in the craftsmanship but also in the ease of adjusting the heat levels via the Lenz Heat App, allowing me to manage the desired heat level with my phone. A true recommendation for anyone who doesn't want to give up riding in cold weather—or for those preparing for the upcoming Christmas market season.
