The new concept, called WMC Zero SRS Intelligent Aero Prototype (WMCSRS), will be presented to the public at "Motorcycle Live" in Birmingham. It is the world's first electric sports bike that integrates a central air duct to reduce drag. The airflow is thus intended to be channeled through the bike - as was already the case with an initial prototype from the company White Motorcycle Concepts (WMC).

Main Features of the WMCSRS
Patented Aerodynamics Technology: The WMCSRS prototype integrates a unique, centrally positioned air duct that channels airflow through the motorcycle frame, reducing drag by 10%. This is particularly advantageous at high speeds, as it optimizes the electric motor's power consumption.
Optimized Airflow: The system is based on a vertically split channel that captures air behind the front wheel and directs it out through the rear. This is supported by newly developed front fenders and fork covers that strategically guide the airflow.

Development Process: The development of the WMCSRS was achieved through a combination of Formula 1-tested simulation technology and aerodynamic measurement methods. These techniques allow for precise adaptation of the airflow to the existing architecture of the Zero SR/S.
Advantages and Future Perspectives
Increased Efficiency and Range: The aerodynamics allow for a greater range and reduce the need for larger and heavier batteries. This saves weight and improves charging times as well as the handling of the motorcycle.
Increased Speed and Performance: Thanks to improved aerodynamics, the motorcycle can reach higher speeds and accelerate more efficiently. These advantages become particularly apparent at high speeds, where conventional batteries often lose efficiency.
Looking into the Future: WMC and Zero Motorcycles view aerodynamics as a key solution to extending the range and efficiency of future electric vehicles. Since battery development alone is not sufficient, the combination of aerodynamic and technological innovations is an important step towards high-performance electric motorcycles.
