"Only few," writes Bimota quite soberly in the press release, meaning "only a few" of the new Bimota KB998 Rimini will be available—which, however, is not groundbreaking news for Bimota. After all, the premium tuner is not known for mass production but rather for producing in manageable quantities. Of the road-legal version of the KB998 with the resounding name Rimini, 125 units are to be completed by February 24, 2025, another 125 by December 31, 2025, and finally, an additional 250 units are to be produced in 2026 to reach the total of 500 units necessary for homologation in the Superbike World Championship.

The Bimota KB998 Rimini is a premium version of the Kawasaki ZX-10RR.

Technically, the Bimota KB998 Rimini adopts the engine of the Kawasaki ZX-10RR, so the performance figures of 200 hp at 13,600 rpm and 111 Newton meters at 11,700 rpm are not a bombshell. For the chassis, Bimota relies on fine components from Showa, while the brakes remain true to domestic trade, with Brembo stoppers reliably slowing down the KB998 Rimini. More interesting is the frame construction, a well-known Bimota specialty. Instead of the aluminum bridge frame of the ZX-10RR, the KB998 Rimini uses a steel-aluminum mix, with Bimota stating a weight of 194 kilos with all fluids but without fuel.

Price and Availability of the Bimota KB998 Rimini 2025

The delivery of the new Bimota KB998 Rimini is set to begin in spring 2025. The price is not yet known, but it will definitely be well above that of the Kawasaki ZX-10RR.
