Aprilia Tuareg Rally 2025 - From Rally to Road!

The Aprilia Tuareg Rally was developed based on the valuable experience gained by Aprilia Racing in constructing the Tuareg racing machine, in technical collaboration with the Guareschi brothers from GCorse. Building on the already excellent off-road capabilities of the standard Tuareg, this motorcycle quickly became the new benchmark for twin-cylinder adventure bikes. It secured the Italian Motorally Championship 2023 with Jacopo Cerutti (who also defended this title this year) and then surprised everyone at its debut in the desert dunes, as it dominated the Africa Eco Race from the first stage to the legendary finish line at Lac Rose in Dakar.

Jacopo Cerutti, official Aprilia Racing rider, significantly contributed to the development of the Aprilia Tuareg Rally. "The goal was to bring the Tuareg Rally as close as possible to the bike with which we won the Africa Eco Race. The Tuareg was already an excellent base for carefree off-road riding, but with the Rally version, we've taken another step that brings us very close to a full-fledged rally raid bike. With the right tires, you can easily conquer the desert dunes. My experience was particularly useful in providing feedback on the electronics, which led to the development of a new engine map with faster and more decisive throttle response, as well as in the suspension adjustments, offering a fork with better support and a shock absorber that more effectively absorbs potholes at high speed, improving the overall stability of the bike."

The distinctly off-road-oriented character of the Tuareg Rally is immediately recognizable, with its high fender and a new, thicker aluminum engine crash bar as well as sturdy handguards with a metal core. A new chain guide is also standard, providing more safety even under extreme off-road conditions. To enhance off-road control, special attention was paid to the rider's ergonomics, with a seat that is 20 mm higher to facilitate the transition between sitting and standing positions, as well as a higher handlebar with a newly designed shape for better handling.

The robust spoke wheels with Ergal rims and knobby tires use tubes, while the Kayaba suspension with its 240 mm travel remains as in the standard model, but now with springs featuring a linear spring rate instead of a progressive one. Although this slightly impacts comfort, it significantly enhances the off-road riding experience and provides the rider with more control on uneven terrain. The stiffer suspension also reduces static sag, making the Tuareg Rally taller and effectively increasing the actual suspension travel. The stand features a support foot with an enlarged area, so the motorcycle is less inclined when parked and offers stable support even on uneven or soft ground.

The Tuareg Rally (and the entire Tuareg 2025 range) receives a new engine management system that ensures a more responsive throttle response. This allows the rider to overcome obstacles in the most demanding off-road sections with a twist of the throttle more easily - a crucial advantage in off-road riding! Additionally, the Tuareg Rally features a specially developed SC Project exhaust system, including a fully titanium-coated muffler and an aggressive race-style end cap design. Moreover, the wheelset and exhaust system contribute to reducing the overall wet weight of the Aprilia Tuareg Rally from 204 to 199 kilos.

The Aprilia Tuareg Rally presents itself in the unmistakable rally racing colors replica, strongly reminiscent of the design of the victorious Tuareg that crossed the legendary Dakar race finish line. Visually, the Tuareg Rally stands out with its sporty gold-anodized fork, rims, and handlebars.
