Nonetheless, the further development focuses primarily on styling, which in this case is closely linked to function. Given the current racing performance of the RSV4, Aprilia claims that aerodynamic development is more important than ever to ensure maximum stability on the road, optimize tire grip, and fully exploit the power of the Noale V4.

The new fairing of the RSV4 has been completely redesigned to achieve two main objectives: to improve the rider's wind protection and to reduce aerodynamic drag. Two superimposed winglets have been integrated in the area below the windshield. This new wing configuration, derived from Aprilia's MotoGP experience and refined in the wind tunnel, increases downforce, thereby enhancing cornering precision and high-speed stability. Overall, the new fairing reduces the aerodynamic drag coefficient (CX) by 6% and the tendency to wheelie by 8% compared to the previous version of the RSV4, allowing for higher acceleration with less physical effort. New side panels blend seamlessly into the revised tail section. The lighter, minimalist taillight is integrated into the license plate holder and also takes on the functions of the turn signals. This allows the motorcycle to be prepared for track use by simply removing the license plate holder.

The new RSV4 models feature a 5-inch TFT color display with revised graphics, a fuel level indicator, and new illuminated controls on the handlebars. The top triple clamp is also new and made from lighter aluminum, while the braking system by Brembo has been further enhanced with new, lighter, and more efficient front Hypure calipers, replacing the previous Stylema calipers.

These benchmark figures are the result of the refinement work on the exceptional V4 engine from Noale, which is now equipped with a 52 mm throttle body and a new exhaust system. The catalyst has been repositioned to reduce heat emissions towards the rider and to simplify the installation of the approved slip-on exhaust from Aprilia's extensive accessory range.

Aprilia is writing a new chapter in onboard electronics for all new Aprilia V4 models: Aprilia has introduced a new generation of control systems available as in-app purchases, allowing riders to optimize electronic settings according to their riding style and requirements without needing to visit a dealer. The system helps riders safely explore their limits and gradually improve. This improvement is achieved through new adaptive and predictive components for wheelie, traction, and yaw control. The algorithm processes vehicle parameters in real-time (including speed, lean angle, gear, throttle position, and more) to anticipate interventions, ensuring smooth and precise control. Furthermore, the sophisticated software continuously analyzes the dynamic responses of the bike and the rider's riding style to enable refined and precise control.

Both models come standard with a six-axis IMU, an electronic ride-by-wire throttle, and three riding modes that manage the three levels of cornering ABS and the controls of the APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control), which includes:

  • ATC: Aprilia Traction Control: adjustable in eight levels while riding without closing the throttle. It offers a more effective intervention logic and now works in conjunction with the new ASC (Aprilia Slide Control), which is adjustable in three independent levels.

Like the most advanced racing motorcycles, this system automatically adjusts the electronic ATC and AWC settings to the preferences set by the rider before heading out on the track. The corner control of the semi-active Öhlins suspension is also standard on the RSV4 Factory.
