Heart of the TF 450-RC: The 450cc engine
The heart of the TF 450-RC Edition is a 450cc single-cylinder engine. Triumph has utilized cutting-edge technologies and high-quality materials in its development to achieve a competitive blend of performance and reliability. One of the engine's highlights is the forged aluminum piston from König, which not only ensures outstanding durability but also optimizes performance at high revs. This is complemented by DelWest titanium valves, which are designed to enhance airflow and enable quicker throttle response.
The 5-speed gearbox of the TF 450-RC features a quickshifter that allows clutchless upshifting from 2nd to 5th gear. The clutch is equipped with a steel basket and special plates designed for the demands of racing, ensuring long-lasting durability under intense use. The hydraulic clutch actuation with Brembo master and slave cylinders ensures smooth and consistent clutch control, according to Triumph.
Triumph TF 450-RC Engine Management
To harness the full potential of the engine, Triumph has equipped the TF 450-RC's engine management system with a Dellorto throttle body and the Athena engine management. Additionally, the integration of the MX Tune Pro smartphone app allows riders to customize the traction control and launch control to tailor the bike to track conditions.
Akrapovic accessories available from market launch
The TF 450-RC comes standard with a stainless steel exhaust, designed to optimize cylinder venting and increase exhaust efficiency thanks to an integrated resonator. For riders seeking even higher performance, Triumph offers an optional Akrapovič titanium exhaust, specifically developed for the TF 450-RC.
High-quality suspension components
The chassis of the TF 450-RC has also been designed to meet the highest demands. The KYB AOS fork (Air-Oil Separation) with an air-oil separation system prevents foaming in the oil, resulting in smoother, more consistent damping. Combined with a three-way shock absorber that can be individually tuned, the TF 450-RC offers a sporty package.
The ODI RC4 Signature handlebar, which also draws on Carmichael's input, is made from triple-butted tubes. By using extra-large clamps and the "half-waffle" ODI Lock-On grips, not only is comfort increased, but vibration and shock absorption are also optimized.
Triumph TF 450-RC Brakes and Tires
The TF 450-RC relies on braking components from Brembo combined with Galfer brake discs. The D.I.D DirtStar rims are intended to offer high impact resistance and stability in conjunction with Dunlop Geomax MX34 tires. With the "Progressive Cornering Block Technology" (PCBT) and an efficient self-cleaning technology, the focus is on versatile tires.
Price and Availability
The TF 450-RC Edition will be available from February 2025. Triumph also offers a wide range of accessories to customize the bike. The price starts at 11,795 euros in Germany, 12,395 euros in Austria, and 11,495 CHF in Switzerland.
