Even before you put it on, you notice how well the Adventure E2, which is largely identical in construction to the C5 touring flip-up helmet, is made. The antibacterial inner lining nestles comfortably against the head - and if your own head doesn't fit the helmet at all, Schuberth may have a solution at hand, as the inner lining is available for both oval and round head shapes. It fitted me straight away, nothing pinched, nothing tweaked. Compared to the C5, however, the Adventure flip-up helmet has larger ventilation inlets and outlets, giving you more airflow if desired, which is particularly pleasant on sweaty off-road passages. The additional weight of around 50 grams compared to the C5 is hardly noticeable, but rather the wind resistance of the peak when you look to the side at speeds above 100 km/h. However, this is not a special feature or even a weakness of the E2, but a normal phenomenon of an adventure or enduro helmet with a shield.

An adventurous look doesn't have to come at the expense of comfort
For many people, the only way to be fully equipped on a touring enduro is with an "adventure helmet", i.e. headgear that has both a peak/shield and visor on board. But you don't necessarily have to do without the comforts of a flip-up helmet; with the E2, Schuberth now has the successor to the already popular E1 in its range. Wolf has already ridden the premium-class adventure helmet extensively.

Lots of similarities with the C5
Can be worn both as a full-face helmet and as a jet helmet
The E2 helmet, from the renowned motorcycle brand XYZ, features a sun visor that can be easily operated with gloves and a convenient ratchet closure system. The updated chin strap positioning enhances comfort in the neck area. This flip-up helmet is P and J homologated, allowing for riding with the flap open. To secure the flap, simply push the small red slider upwards. This feature is beneficial for those who wear glasses and facilitates communication and quick stops. Additionally, the E2 provides a balanced fit with minimal pressure on the neck when the flap is open, ensuring a comfortable ride.
Dust and insects must stay outside
The new Schuberth E2 combines the comfort of a flip-up helmet with the adventure look of an adventure helmet at the highest level. The helmet is known for its sophisticated ventilation, comfort, and high build quality. The peak can be adjusted to three different positions and is easy to remove. The chin ventilation includes a washable and replaceable filter to keep insects, dust, or mud outside the helmet. The helmet meets the safety standards of ECE-R 22.06 and features a fiberglass shell with patented Direct-Fibre technology reinforced with carbon for improved shock absorption and reduced weight.
