Podle mého názoru KTM 1050 Adventure navazuje na model 990 Adventure, který před několika lety skončil: Výkon kolem 100 koní, hravé jízdní vlastnosti a tolik nebo tolik elektroniky, kolik je v současnosti nejmodernější. Motor je všechno, jen ne slabý, ABS a kontrola trakce regulují bezpečně a nenápadně a řízení je mimořádně zábavné, mimo jiné i díky relativně úzkým pneumatikám. A to vše za cenu, kterou v lize velkých cestovních endur podbízí jen několik málo konkurentů. Ač je to smutné, cena obou 1190 Adventures a především vlajkové lodi 1290 Super Adventure se vyšplhala do velmi vysokých hodnot. A právě proto je KTM 1050 Adventure možná nejsoudržnějším ze čtyř modelů Adventure.

Super Adventure R se během intenzivního testu v Pyrenejích představil jako skvělý dobrodružný motocykl. Nabízel skvělou kombinaci komfortu na dlouhé vzdálenosti a terénních schopností. Takovou kombinaci v této konzistenci nenajdete u žádného jiného motocyklu. Především podvozek je houževnatý a v náročném terénu se prezentoval ze své nejlepší stránky. Samozřejmě, že jen velmi málo jezdců bude s tímto monstrem skutečně pořádně jezdit - ale v drsném terénu bylo vždy lepší "mít" než "potřebovat".
