Nyní se zdá být nejen vizuálně vyspělejší, ale také znatelně kompetentnější ve vysokých rychlostech. Když se na R3 projedete na limitu, rychle pocítíte, proč na ní Yamaha založila vlastní pohár, protože i standardní model poskytuje ve vysokých rychlostech bezpečný pocit. Přesto je zde prostor pro zlepšení, zejména při každodenním používání, kdy hrubá odezva v nízkých otáčkách a špatná zpětná vazba od brzdové páky vedou během jízdy k některým momentům frustrace.

Yamaha poskytuje jezdci neuvěřitelně vysokou přesnost a zpětnou vazbu na přední kolo a podvozek a zároveň je super ovladatelná! Motor je extrémně otáčivý, ale zároveň chce být spokojený. Je škoda, že nejnovější verze R6 ztratila část svého výkonu kvůli Euro 4.... Přesto to bude pro většinu z nás rychlejší okruhový motocykl. A pokud bude potřeba, otevřený výfukový systém (bez silniční homologace) a mapování mohou ze supersportovního motocyklu polechtat ještě pár koní. Ostrý design se potkává s ještě ostřejšími komponenty - TOP!
