The MV Agusta F3 800 2017 and the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 2020 are both high-performance supersport motorcycles from the renowned Italian manufacturer. While they share many similarities in terms of technical specifications, there are some notable differences between the two models.

Starting with the engine and drive train, both motorcycles have the same bore and stroke dimensions, as well as the same engine power and torque figures. They both feature a 798cc three-cylinder engine with a compression ratio of 13. However, the Superveloce 800 2020 has a slightly higher compression ratio of 13.3, which may result in improved performance and efficiency.

In terms of suspension, both models have an upside-down telescopic fork at the front. However, the F3 800 2017 is equipped with a Marzocchi front suspension, while the Superveloce 800 2020 features a Marzocchi front suspension and a Sachs rear suspension. This difference in suspension brands could potentially lead to variations in ride quality and handling characteristics.

The chassis of the F3 800 2017 is made of aluminum, while the Superveloce 800 2020 has a steel frame. This difference in frame material may affect the overall weight and stiffness of the motorcycles, potentially influencing their handling and performance.

Both motorcycles have double disk brakes at the front with a diameter of 320mm, manufactured by Brembo. This ensures excellent stopping power and control. Additionally, both models feature advanced rider assistance systems such as ride by wire and a quickshifter. However, the Superveloce 800 2020 also includes ABS, riding modes, and traction control, providing enhanced safety and customization options.

In terms of dimensions and weights, both motorcycles have the same front and rear tire widths and diameters, as well as the same wheelbase and fuel tank capacity. However, there are slight differences in seat height, with the Superveloce 800 2020 having a lower seat height of 805mm compared to the 812mm of the F3 800 2017. Pros and Cons in comparison

Pros and Cons in comparison

MV Agusta F3 800 2017

MV Agusta F3 800 2017

Amazingly mature motorbike. The mechanical soundscape sounds very exotic, but the handling was fabulous. The MV manages to do what other "midsize" supersport bikes can't. It has the equipment of the big 1000 combined with easy handling and convertible power. Even when stationary, the F3 is enchanting, and in the saddle you have finally fallen in love.

Flawlessly tuned engine with clean response and good power

great brakes

bike looks ultra-compact, yet acceptable seating position

great chassis makes turning and manoeuvring child's play

timelessly cool look.

Mechanically rough soundscape

Somewhat little space for knees

Dealer network and spare parts supply "shaky".

MV Agusta Superveloce 800 2020

MV Agusta Superveloce 800 2020

The Superveloce 800 is unique. This is not only due to its noble retro look, but above all to the fact that it adopts pretty much all the components and geometry from the company's own super sports bike, the MV Agusta F3 800. In other words, a real racetrack rocket with a cool old-school look. This makes it particularly interesting for people who place great value on a unique design for their machine without having to compromise on performance. There is also (unfortunately) no question that there will be more people who like the Superveloce 800 than those who can actually afford it.
